GA Expands into Armenia with the Addition of Legelata LLC to the Alliance

GA, an international law and tax firm with 12 offices in Italy and direct offices in New York, Lugano, Brussels, London, and Paris, and professionals present in over 70 jurisdictions, led by Managing Partner Francesco Sciaudone, further strengthens its presence in Asia with the addition of LLC Legal and Tax to the Alliance, to assist clients in Armenia.

Legelata – GA’s new partner – based in Yerevan, is one of the leading law firms in Armenia. With the new partnership, GA will be able to assist clients in various practice areas, including banking & finance, M&A, litigation and arbitration, intellectual property, and tax law.

GA had the honor of hosting the webinar "The New American Presidency – Economic and Financial Scenarios", a pivotal moment of discussion and analysis on the impact of the Trump administration’s policies on the European economy and global financial markets.

Those analyzing the legal impact of the Trump presidency on international trade must take into account a series of critical aspects: from the continuity of contracts and the execution of projects initiated by international investors in the U.S. market, to the influence on European and Italian exports, as well as the approach adopted regarding financial regulation and, more broadly, the economic activities of businesses.

To address these challenges, a conformity check and a compliance program are essential to support the interpretation and evaluation of President Trump’s executive orders. A mix of expertise is needed to provide clients with practical tools to manage the legal risks stemming from presidential decisions.

To this end, as GA, we have established a Task Force coordinated by Gianni Castellaneta, former ambassador to Washington and our Senior Advisor. This Task Force combines European expertise with our presence in over 70 national markets, including the United States, to deliver timely responses to the initial decisions of the Trump presidency. From April 6, 2025, the United Kingdom may abolish the tax regime for non-domiciled residents (Res Non Dom), replacing it with a new special 4-year regime.

Starting from the fifth year, all residents may be subject to ordinary taxation on global income, prompting many taxpayers to consider relocating to countries with more favorable tax regimes.
